Privacy policy

1. Who we are

Silendr is a business network being built for India's industrial gas industry by Silendr Ventures LLP (“Silendr”, “we”, “us”). This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through silendr.com. We are the “data fiduciary” for this data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

2. What we collect

When you pre-register, we collect what you type in the form:

• your name and mobile number, and your email address if you give it;
• your company name, city and state;
• whether you want to buy or sell, what you deal in, and which PESO licences you hold, if you tell us.

If you write to us or call us, we keep that conversation. Our hosting providers also record basic technical data — such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit — to keep the website secure and running.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, passwords, bank details or identity documents at this stage.

3. Why we use it

• to contact you by phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email about joining Silendr and its launch in your area;
• to understand which gases, products and states to launch first;
• to answer your questions;
• to keep the website secure and prevent misuse;
• to meet our legal obligations.

4. Your consent

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you tick the box on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to hello@silendr.com. After that we will stop contacting you and delete your pre-registration details, unless the law requires us to keep something. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run Silendr, and only for the purposes above:

• website hosting (Vercel);
• our database (Supabase), stored in India (Mumbai region);
• email (Google Workspace).

These providers process data on our instructions under contract, and some of them may process data outside India where the law allows. We may also disclose data when required by law, a court or a government authority.

6. How long we keep it

We keep pre-registration details until Silendr launches in your area and for up to 24 months after that, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. Then we delete them or make them anonymous.

7. How we protect it

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored in a database that cannot be read from the website. Only authorised Silendr staff can see pre-registrations. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable security measures. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct, complete or update it;
• delete it;
• stop contacting you;
• let someone else (a nominee) exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot do so yourself.

Write to hello@silendr.com from the mobile number or email you registered with, or call us. We reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Cookies

We count visits to this website anonymously: your browser keeps a random number (not your name or contact details) so we know how many different people visited, plus the page, where you came from and your rough city. If you arrive through a campaign or invite link, your browser also remembers that link so we can credit it if you pre-register. No advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children

Silendr is for businesses. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Changes to this policy

When Silendr launches — with accounts, licence checks, orders and credit — we will update this policy and ask for your consent before collecting any new kind of data. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
